Wang Lee Hom (Alexander Wang)

Calvin sent me a few of his songs just now and I was just reading up about him on wikipedia.

I was surprised to find out... he's an ABC! The amazingly smart kind that comes from amazingly smart families... I haven't seen people like these since Arcadia High. Academically strong, his family is chock full of physicians, his older bro has a MD and PhD from Yale, his younger bro is at MIT. And instead of becoming a doctor like all Asian families want, he went to Williams and studied music. What's even cooler is that he learned Mandarin at 18 and Cantonese at 23/24. That means there is still yet hope for me to learn both fluently! American guy who is so famous in Asia, but not in America. I guess we're still not yet ready to have major Asian American music artists here.

What else can I say about this guy than, "Wow..."

In a somewhat related note, I'm getting old. I told someone today that I was 25, and I didn't even realize my mistake until Kristen pointed it out an hour later. Bring on the anti-wrinkle cream!
