it's not a donut!

This reminds me of the scene in Alien when the juices of the alien burn through every imaginable material and turn it into disgusting goops that drip everywhere. You do not want to see what's under this weird cookie.

So apparently, I got lazy cutting up this huge block of Ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate (gooood stuff!) And so I incorporated oh-so-yummy large chunks into the batter. This and the fact that I attempted to spatula this onto the cooling rack prematurely resulted in a large gooey slop of chocolate that was located strategically in the middle above open metal slats to fall through like alien blood.
