San Francisco!
Yesterday, my roommates Jasmine and Kristen and I went to San Francisco to do some shopping. We walked to the Downtown Berkeley BART station on Shattuck, transfered once and ended up at Powell St. where it leads directly into the hugest mall I've ever seen! 9 stories and the nicest curving escalators!
We went to a lot of stores and all of us ended up buying something from Old Navy. (Hey, we be poor grad students.) I got a nice red skirt that I thought was 10 bucks but ended up to be 5 bucks when I got to the register. =) Whoohoo! I love it when that happens.
We ate dinner at the Daily Grill, a very fancy schmancy restaurant that serves American classics. Unexpectedly I ended up with a 40 dollar meal and was so full I could barely walk back to the BART station. =) (fried oysters, halibut with shiitake mushroom lemon butter sauce on mashed potatoes, bananas foster and strawberry lemonade; though it was kind of weird to have eat halibut and mashed potatoes on the same bite...)
After dinner, we acted like the true tourists that we are and took some pics by the cable car. Below is Jasmine and me:

Yeah, i watched Garden State, too! I thought it was really good but I wasn't gushing over Zach Braff so my friend thought I didn't like the movie. They are sooo impressed with him: cute and talented!!!!
you sure been eating out a lot lately!!! I see it's so much easier to get around in the Bay area than Los Angeles!
